Ask the child to draw mushroom --
and receive anything red in white spots certainly.
Child delight in find of Fly Agaric
(http://rwn.boom.ru/fungi/Amanita_muscaria_e.html)
will be much more, than in find of King Bolete! 

   There are many various sorts in Family Amanitaceae
(http://rwn.boom.ru/fungi/amanitaceae_e.html),
but most appreciable, most beautiful, most known, most fantastic, most recognizing
fungus is
Fly Agaric (Amanita muscaria)
(http://rwn.boom.ru/fungi/Amanita_muscaria_e.html).
So it is the prefered subject in various fantastic pictures.
