   The Republic of Belarus is to Accede to the European Agreement on Main Inland
Waterways of International Importance (AGN)
   
   The President of the Republic of Belarus signed Edict No. 133 of 28 February
2008 that provides for the accession of the Republic of Belarus to the European
Agreement on Main Inland Waterways of International Importance (AGN). The Councils
of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus shall take necessary steps for the implementation
of the Edict. 
   The Edict entered into force on the day of its signing.

   Right of the State to Have a Golden Share Abolished 

   With the aim of creating favorable conditions for attracting foreign investments
the President of the Republic of Belarus abolished, by Edict No. 144 of 4 March
2008, the right of the state to have a golden share in privatized enterprises,
which had been introduced in March 2004. 
   The Edict entered into force on 5 March 2008.
