New Measures for Stimulating Entrepreneurial Activity Approved
The President of the Republic of Belarus approved by the Decree No. 1 of January 28, 2008 new measures for stimulating production and realization of goods (works, services), attracting foreign investments, developing export potential. The Decree provides that commercial
organizations, including those with foreign investments, created and located in settlements having less than 50 thousand inhabitants, according to the list to be approved by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus and agreed by the President till March 1, 2008, will be given a number of tax benefits and privileges within 5 years since the moment of their creation.
The President of Belarus Approved List of Objects To Be Granted for Concessions
The Edict of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 44 of January 28, 2008 approved the list of objects which could be granted for concessions to foreign investors. The list include deposits of iron ore, gypsum and bentonitic clay. The Government of the Republic of Belarus shall present to and
agree with the President concession offers for the objects within three months.
