Government changes rates of import customs duties

The Decision of Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of October 12, 2007 No. 1325 amended the existing rates of import customs duties. The amendments concern vehicles imported into the customs territory of the Republic of Belarus. The Decision enters into force within 30 days after the day of official publication.

Legislation on import of tobacco stuff changed

According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of October 18, 2007 No.4 the import of tobacco stock and tobacco products to the Republic of Belarus may be exercised only by the state and without quantitative limits. The rule doesnt concern tobacco stuff imported to the territory of the Republic of Belarus for further realization in duty free stores or for exhibitions.The Decree has also amended the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of December 17, 2002 No. 28 On state regulation of production, turnover , advertisement and consumption of tobacco stock and tobacco products. The Decree entered into force on the 1st of October 2007.
