   President signed the edict on taxation of foodstuffs and childrens goods
imported to Belarus

   The Edict of the President of the Republic of Belarus of June 21, 2007 No.
287 "On Taxation of Foodstuffs and Children's Goods" approved a list of goods
imported to the customs territory of the Republic of Belarus which are subject
to the 10% VAT rate. The list includes some  foodstuffs and childrens goods
of headings 0101 - 0406, 1507 - 1604, 3407 - 4820, 6101 - 6216, 6401 - 6503,
8715 - 9505 of the  Commodity Nomenclature for Foreign Economic Activities of
the Republic of Belarus. The edict enters into force on the day of its official
publication.
