In accordance with the Regulations subjects of innovative infrastructure are exempted from the taxes and tax collections paid to local budgets.

The Regulations define grounds for obtaining Belarusian citizenship, including by refugees. The procedure of applying, consideration and registration of applications for granting and deprivation of citizenship is simplified; it also stipulates time limits for considering submitted applications.

The new Customs Code defines a special order of transportation, storage or other use of the goods which are imported to the customs territory of the Republic of Belarus or exported without customs declaring and putting under a customs regime. It includes: procedure of customs transit, procedure of temporary storage of goods, procedures concerning vehicles of international transportation and supplies.

The new Code regulates in details the matters of payment of customs duties, activities of customs control, informing and consulting persons interested. It also establishes the order of the appeal of actions of customs bodies not only in State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus, but also in court. The Code stipulates the order of compensation of the damage caused to the economic entity.

The new Customs Code implement the electronic declaring and simplifies the procedure of customs inspection.

In accordance with the Law, the objects for taxation are the amounts of manufactured and (or) imported plastic, glass containers, containers of paper and cardboard and other goods which can produce harmful influence on the environment and should be recycled by special way and also the amounts of the imported goods packed into such containers.

In accordance with the Edict the activity of an individual entrepreneur may be carried out only with engagement of members of his (her) family and close relatives (spouse, parents, children, the adoptive parents, adopted children, brothers and sisters, grandparents, grandsons) from January 1, 2008.

Legal persons and the individual entrepreneurs providing other individual entrepreneurs with objects of trade, places of trade are obliged to inform taxation bodies. According to the Edict, the rates of the consolidated tax for individual entrepreneur are decreased. The natural persons who have not been registered as individual entrepreneur, except for craftsmen, can carry out retail trade on trading places for no more than 5 days within each calendar month and no more than 60 days within a calendar year.
