The Republic of Belarus and the Kingdom of Thailand signed the Convention to prevent double taxation and evasion from the income tax and property tax.

This agreement entered into force on September 2, 2006.

The Republic of Belarus and the South African Republic signed an Agreement on cooperation in the spheres of arts and culture.

In accordance with the Agreement, the states will promote and develop the relations in the field of music, concerts, and theatre.

The parties agreed to establish direct communications between libraries of two countries as well as to support cooperation in the field of motion picture arts, including participation in international film festivals, carried out in these countries.

Also the states agreed to support cooperation between museums and picture galleries, to promote organization of museum exhibitions, to help students and pupils to participate in international competitions and festivals in the sphere of art and culture.

This agreement entered into force on August 28, 2006.

Government of the Republic of Belarus has established quotas and the amount of payment for import of tobacco products.

In accordance with the Decision of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of October 6, 2006 No. 1305 the amount of the delivery of cigars, cigars with cut off ends, thin cigars and cigarettes of tobacco or of its substitutes in the republic should be established on the level of 1,5 billion pieces. The amount of payment is 1,225 billion Br.

This quota is equal with the quota for the year of 2006.

The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, by its Decision of September 27, 2006 No.1267 on licensing external trade of sertain goods approved:

-  the Regulations on licensing external trade of certain goods;

-  the list of the goods, which can be exported under the license of the Trade Ministry of the Republic of Belarus;

-  the list of the goods, which can be imported under the license of the Trade Ministry of the Republic of Belarus;

-  the list of the goods exported under the special licenses of the European Union standards for the trade of the textile goods;

-  the instruction on the order of filling the application for the license and of filling the license for export and import of certain goods.

The Decision determines kinds of licenses for export and (or) import of goods, conditions and the order of representing documents necessary for receiving such licenses, terms of their issuing, conditions and the order of their issuing and renewal as well as their suspension and annulment.
