The Code will enter into force after six months from the date of its official publication. A new changes and amendments brought in to the Citizenship Law of the Republic of Belarus on June 22, 2006. Changes concerns matters of granting the citizenship of the Republic of Belarus, its loss and achieving during the registration process. The lists of goods exempted from customs duties, excises and value added tax are reduced Decision of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus # 35 from May 12, 2006 brought in changes and amendments to the Instruction on the order of calculation, payment and control of custom duties payment for customs registration, customs duty, excise and value added tax and to its Decision on the order of calculation and payment of customs duties during customs registration of goods, exported from the territory of free customs zone. According to this Decision, the imported goods purchased by treaties which payments are made by foreign credits given with the Belarusian government guarantee are no longer on the list of the goods exempted from customs duties, excises. The imported goods, purchased with resources of foreign gratis aids given by foreign states and international organizations are no longer on the list of the goods exempted from value added tax. The same concerns: - goods, imported as foreign gratis aids for mutual science and research activity by treaties with foreign educational and scientific organizations; - equipment and instruments, imported by organizations exceptionally for research and scientific purposes in the order, established by Belarusian legislation; - raw materials for bakery production and mixed fodder by the list, established by Belarusian legislation. The term of customs duties payment which falls on a day off has also changed. Such payment should be made not later than the next working day. New changes to the procedure of issuing belarusian visa Decision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus # 82 from June 14, 2006 approves the Instruction on the order of issuing visas of the Republic of Belarus to foreign citizens and stateless persons. The Instruction determines the order of issuing visas, describes activity of officials in diplomatic representations and consular representations of the Republic of Belarus and other officials on examining the citizens requests for visa granting. It also regulates kinds of visas, multiplicity of visas, their issue by authorized bodies, describes matters of their validation, the order of documents examination for granting and issuing visas. Republic of Belarus and India signed cooperation agreement The Agreement between the Republic of Belarus and India on mutual legal cooperation on criminal cases entered into force on June 30, 2006. Mutual legal cooperation includes localization of the criminal or stolen property (or incomes), crime instruments; receiving statements and applications; granting the originals or notary approved copies of the documents, evidences and information granting; searches and seizures; searching of the stolen property(incomes); persons retrieval; service of documents etc. Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus by its Decision # 158 from June 19, 2006 approved the Instruction on granting special permissions to foreign citizens and stateless persons to have the right to perform labor activity in the Republic of Belarus. This Instruction covers up the activity of foreigners entering Belarus, getting permission to live temporarily in Belarus or temporary living in Belarus and having a will to work for a legal entity or for an individual entrepreneur. There is a list of documents, which should be presented to obtain such permission and a special form, granted to foreign citizens to work in Belarus.
