It regulates legal, organizational and economic basics of protection of plants from pests, diseases and weeds, plants quarantine, using means of plants protection, and is aimed at the prevention of losses of plant production. By the Law of December 26, 2005 No.75-Z the Republic of Belarus ratified the Civil Law Convention on Corruption of November 4, 1999 that was signed by the Republic of Belarus in Strasbourg on March 25, 2004. The parties of the Convention agreed to provide in its internal law for effective remedies for persons who have suffered damage as a result of acts of corruption, to enable them to defend their rights and interests, including the possibility of obtaining compensation for damage. For the purpose of the Convention, "corruption" means requesting, offering, giving or accepting, directly or indirectly, a bribe or any other undue advantage or prospect thereof, which distorts the proper performance of any duty or behaviour required of the recipient of the bribe, the undue advantage or the prospect thereof. The Criminal Code and Code of Criminal Procedure were amended by the Law of the Republic of Belarus of December 31, 2005 No.82-Z. In particular, a new article 88.1 (Remission of Criminal Liability because of Voluntary Compensation of Damage (Harm)) was added to the Criminal Code By the Law of January 4, 2006 No.83-Z the Republic of Belarus ratified the Anti-Doping Convention of November 16, 1989 that was signed by the Republic of Belarus in Strasbourg on September 12, 2002. The Republic of Belarus ratified, by the Law of January 5, 2006 No.89-Z, the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of Egypt on Transits without Visas on Diplomatic, Official and Special Passports that was signed in Minsk on June 27, 2005. On January 5, 2006 the Republic of Belarus adopted the Law of No.90-Z to ratify the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of Macedonia on Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income and on Capital Gains that was signed in Moscow on May 19, 2005. By the Law of January 5, 2006 No.91-Z, the Code on Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus was ammended. So, the article 12.30 (Unlawful Circulation of Oil Liquid Fuel in the Republic of Belarus) is given in new redaction. On January 9, 2006 the Edict of the President of the Republic of Belarus No.15 On Realtor Activity was adopted. By this Edict the Rules of Conducting Realtor Activity in the Republic of Belarus were approved. By the Decision of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of December 21, 2005 No.1514 quotas on producing alcoholic production, inedible ethyl alcohol, antiseptic medicinal, veterinary and disinfectant remedies that relate to inedible spirit-based production were approved. By the Decision of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of January 4, 2006 No.2 quotas on import of inedible ethyl alcohol, antiseptic medicinal, veterinary and disinfectant remedies that relate to inedible spirit-based production were approved.
