On 25 August 2005 President Lukhashenko signed the Edict No. 398 On the improvement
of the export of potassium fertilizers.  The Edict stipulates that the exclusive
right to export mineral fertilizers shall belong to the State and shall be exercised
by the Republican unitary enterprise Belaruskaliy and Open joint-stock society
Belarus potassium company. The edict becomes effective one month after its
signing.

Since 1st September 2005 temporary customs duties for  the import of some agricultural
products have been established by the Decision of the Council of Ministers of
Republic of Belarus No. 918 of 23.08.05. The duties have been introduced to protect
domestic manufacturers and will be effective for the period of six months.

The period of circulation of privatization cheques Property has been prorogated
by the decision of the Council of Ministers of Republic of Belarus No. 950 of
29.08.05 till 30 June 2007. The earlier established time-limit for the circulation
of the cheques was 31 December 2005.

The State Customs Committee has approved by its Decision No. 56 of 23.08.05 a
new procedure for moving cultural valuables and copies of archive documents out
of the country. The procedure stipulates the order for the customs clearance
of cultural valuables and copies of archive documents transferred through the
customs border of the Republic of Belarus. 

The Ministry of Education has approved by the Decision of No.65 of 29.07.05 the
Program of the development of institutions of the out-of-school education and
instruction in Belarus for 2002  2007. The program establishes conditions for
 the functioning of the network of such institutions and determines sources of
financing for their activities.
