Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 12 of November 3, 2004 brings in alterations and amendments to the appendix of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 14 of April 18, 2003 On Establishing the Tariff Preferences. According to the Decree No. 12 the appendix concerning developing countries and territories to which the tariff preferences are granted is sent forth in a new edition.

Law of the Republic of Belarus No. 321-Z brings in alterations and amendments to the Law of the Republic of Belarus On Legal Acts. In particular, a new article 49/1 concerning a criminological expertise of drafts of legal acts has been added.

Decision of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 1364 of October 29, 2004 introduces temporal rates of import customs duties for the goods imported to the customs territory of the Republic of Belarus. According to the decision for the 9 months term new rates of the customs duties for tractors, buses, etc. are established. The rates are valid since November 5, 2004.

Decision of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 1367 of October 29, 2004 with a view to protect the domestic manufacturers from November 1, 2004 for the term of 5 months establishes seasonal rates of customs duties for the goods imported to the Republic of Belarus. The rates are set for potatoes, onion, cabbage, carrot and beat (rates raging from 30 up to 40 percent).

Decision of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus No. 241 of October 29, 2004 introduces amendments to the Decision of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus No. 256 of December 2, 2002. A new decision amends section II Food Industry Products of the List of Marginal Minimal Prices for Some Kinds of Exported Goods Produced in the Republic of Belarus. The position concerning rye flour was added.
