   May 4, 2004

   Committee on Land Resources, Geodesy and Cartography at the Council of Ministers
of the Republic of Belarus on April 12, 2004 No. 15 approved the Instructions
on Procedure of Control over Accuracy of Registration Acts by Registrars. The
Instructions establish the procedure of fulfillment by the republican organization
on state registration of immovable property, rights to it and deals with it of
control over accuracy of registration acts. Control is carries out by holding
planned and not planned checks of accuracy of acts conducted by registrars.

   Decision of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of the Republic of Belarus
of April 12, 2004 No. 18 brings in alterations and amendments to the Regulations
on Procedure and conditions for Rendering Financial Assistance at the Expenses
of State Fund of Assistance to Employment for Creation of Work Places approved
by the decision of June 14, 2004 No. 87. In particular, according to the changes
in case of not returning the financial assistance in the term specified in the
contract, the financial assets are subject to collection with application of
the fine sanctions provided by the contract for violation of the terms of their
return.

   Decision of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus of April 22,
2004 No. 19 approves the Instructions on Procedure for Issuing the Permits to
Import Medications, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Equipments, Products for Medical
Purposes and Disinfectants Applied for Medical Purposes. The Instructions establish
the single procedure for holding an expertise of documents and issue of permits
to import to the customs territory of the Republic of Belarus of the mentioned
products applied for medical purposes. The Instructions do not cover the import
of narcotics, psychotropic and etc, and do not cover foreign aid. The Instructions
provides the list of documents needed in order to receive the permit (in particular,
the licenses for pharmaceutical activity or license for medical activity).

   Decision of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of April 29,
2004 No. 489 brings in alterations and amendments to the Regulations on State
Registration and Termination of Activity of Economic Groups approved by the Decision
No. 1665 of October 27, 1999. In particular the changes concern the documents
needed for such a registration. Besides there is now a provision providing that
the name of economic group shall be agreed with the Ministry of Economy of the
Republic of Belarus.
