Brief description of the most interesting legal acts which have been included into
the National Register of Legal Acts of the Republic of Belarus within the last week.

On October 30, 2003 the Law No, 235-Z ratifying the Faculty Protocol to the Convention on Elimination of Women Discrimination was adopted.

 

The Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Belarus on 29 October 2003 adopted a Resolution On Approving the List of Goods, Purchased for Organizations Financed from Republican Budget under Tender of the Belarusian Concern on Material Resources in 2004 No. 57. In accordance with part four sub-point 1.1 point 1 of the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated of May 19, 2003 No.652 On Some Issues of Carrying Out Procurements of Goods, Works and Services the Ministry of Trade has approved the mentioned list attached to the Resolution.

 

Law of the Republic of Belarus of November 4, 2003 No. 236-Z On State Dactyloscopic Registration determines the legal basis for holding a state dactyloscopic registration in the republic and establishes the basic requirements for obtaining, registration, usage, storage and destruction of dactyloscopic information.

 

Law of the Republic of Belarus of November 5, 2003 No. 243-Z amends the Law of June 9, 2003 On Reorganization of Unprofitable Agricultural Organizations with the article 11 Terms of Financing of Unprofitable Agricultural Organizations Reorganization at the Expense of the Republican and (or) local budgets. The terms, procedure and control over financing of such organization are carried out by the President of the Republic of Belarus.

 

Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of October 20, 2003 No. 1390 On Additional Measures on Realization of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of July 14, 2003 sets forth the actions to be taken by legal persons and individual entrepreneurs of the Republic of Belarus in order to carry out the activities subject to licensing and dates, till which the old licenses are valid, as well as actions to be taken by state bodies competent to issue licenses that shall be issued in accordance with the Decree No. 17.

 

Resolution of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus of October 8, 2003 No. 64 approves the Instruction on Procedure of Importing to the Customs Territory of the Republic of Belarus of Alcohol Drinks and Tobacco Goods Subject to Excise Marking. The Instruction determines the procedure of importing of such goods according to the attachment to the Instruction, and also it establishes the peculiarities of their customs registration, customs control and calculation and payment of customs payments, etc. According to the Instruction in cases established by legislation alcohol drinks and tobacco goods under the list according to attachment 1 to the Instructions are not subject to excise marking.
