Brief description of the most interesting legal acts which have been included
into the National Register of Legal Acts of the Republic of Belarus within the
last week.

   October 20, 2003

   Decision of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus of September 26,
2003 No. 169 On Introducing Alternations and Amendments to the Rules of Import,
Export and Remittance of Cash Currency, Payment Documents in Foreign Currency
and Memorial Coins out of Precious Metals by Natural Persons Across the Customs
Border of the Republic of Belarus Approved by the Decision of the Administration
of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus of July 31, 200 No.19.1 brings
in changes concerning the permissive documents. According to the Decision No.
169 they are customs declaration or currency certificates confirming import of
cash foreign currency and payment documents in foreign currency to the territory
of member-states of the Customs Union and banking documents issued by authorized
banks of member-states of the Customs Union permitting export of cash foreign
currency and payment documents in foreign currency from member-states of the
Customs Union. The point providing a written declaration of import by natural
persons of cash foreign currency exceeding 3000 US dollars has been excluded.

   Decision of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Belarus of October 2,
2003 No. 47 brings in alternations and amendments to the Model Regulation on
Firm Shop of Enterprise (Association) Approved by the Instruction of the Ministry
of Trade of the Republic of Belarus of October 27, 1998 No. 138, to the Basic
Rules of Conducting the Retail Trade and Trade Industrial Activity on the Territory
of the Republic of Belarus of November 4, 1992 No. 666 in edition of the Instruction
of the ministry of Trade of the Republic of Belarus of June 7, 1999, the Rules
of Retail Trade of Household Electric Goods in the Republic of Belarus and other
acts. The changes were brought in order to comply with the Decree of the President
of July 14, 2003 No.17 On Licensing of Some Kinds of Activity.
