The Information Channel Felist.Com -*-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brief description of the most interesting legal acts which have been included into the National Register of Legal Acts of the Republic of Belarus within the last week. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ July 28, 2003 The Administration of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus passed the Decision on June 26, 2003 No. 116 On Introducing Alternations and Amendments to the Rules Regulating the Activity of Banks and Non-bank Credit Financial Organizations Approved by the Decision of the Administration of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus of June 28, 2001 No. 173. The Decision brings in changes to the provisions concerning the banking standards and other. The Decision enters into force on September 1, 2003. The Law of the Republic of Belarus No. 227-Z adopted by the Chamber of Representatives on June 26, 2003 and by the Council of the Republic on June 30, 2003 introduces alternations and amendments to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus and Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Belarus. New amendments and alternations of the Criminal Code reduce penalties for some kinds of crimes, extend the possibilities to apply the grant of parole. The Decision of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of July 21, 2003 No. 964 On Introducing Alternations and Amendments to the Decision of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of March 29, 2002 No. 386 and of February 26, 2003 No. 247 brings in changes to the norms of payment for allocation of the wastes and order of approving the limits of allocation of the industrial wastes and to the decision establishing the payment for issue of the permits on allocation of the industrial wastes and for special water supply. According to the Decision the organizations financed from the budget of the Republic of Belarus are freed from the payment for the permits issue. Law of the Republic of Belarus of July 22, 2003 No. 229-Z On Introducing Alternations and Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Belarus On General Military Duty and Service sets forth the Law in a new edition. The Law provides a new kind of service - a service in reserve.
