The center that is 20 years old has 40 groups in which 630 children aged 6 to 17 learn various skills. 10 groups are in the aviation, vehicle designing, construction and joiner sections. Experienced teachers of extra curricular education are guiding the children. They include Sibila, Sheripova, mentor of the first class of designing. Director of the center Aina Usmanova has been in the saddle for just a year but has been in the center for more than 10 years. This is where she has realized her cherished desire working with children. The heart palpitates with joy on seeing how children learn in the center with great zest, she said. The center never shut its door on time, as the children always want to stay longer. The centers main problem is lack of its own premises. Its rented accommodation is small and hence the groups are scattered in all the 5 Argun schools which themselves are short of accommodation. Materials are also hard to come by and children bring what they can from home or buy in the stationers shop, but with such meager materials the children cannot perform to maximum ability, the director lamented. But despite the hard conditions each year an exhibition of childrens works is staged and the best of them are sent to the republican and all Russian exhibitions in Moscow. Aina Usmanova and all the teachers in the center are confident that such childrens works will be more and more in the coming years. He was in a group of ten invited by the Saudi Arabian king. In the group also was the widow of the first president of Chechnya, Aimana Kadyrova. The Chechen pilgrims were treated like guests of the Saudi king. Transport, accommodation and feeding were first class. By the way all Chechen pilgrims sponsored by the mufti office or by Ramzan Kadyrov had no problems during the haj. As a doctor Idris Baisultanov closely monitored water supply, food as well as how pilgrims followed rules of personal hygiene and sanitation. He has no adverse comment to make. The pilgrims experienced certain problems on the return journey though and the major cause was the avian flu epidemic in Turkey. But only pilgrims traveling on land faced the problem. The three main groups from Chechnya traveled by planes and they got to Mineralny Vody without hinderance. After performing the Haj Idris Baisultanov has resumed work with more vigour and more spiritually enriched. Religion fortifies a person, he said and a pilgrimage to the holy places is doubly enriching. I now have more energy to treat patients, he declared. Ramzan Kadyrov, the son of the late president, said at a meeting with UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Louise Arbour that the money had been channeled through Chechen separatist emissary Akhmed Zakayev, who recently received political asylum in the United Kingdom. "Zakayev, who is in London, is a criminal and a killer," Kadyrov said. The acting premier said he would bring the fight against international terrorism to a successful end, and reestablish order in the republic. He said he was concerned over the security of Chechnya's residents, whose protection was his duty "as a Russian, a Chechen, and a Muslim." Speaking on the present situation in the republic, Kadyrov said Chechnya had functioning legislative authorities and rule of law. Louise Arbour, who met with Chechen President Alu Alkhanov Tuesday, said she was concerned over abductions in the republic as well as the use of torture. Arbour said it was impossible to trust a political system if there was no trust in the armed forces and law enforcement agencies. However, she said, Chechnya was living with an improved political situation, and restored economic infrastructure. She expressed her regret that the republic had not fully switched from the supremacy of force to the rule of law.
