The Information Channel Felist.Com -*-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Actual News from Chechnya Chechnya | literature Modern Chechen literature Instant and eternity- a documentary story about Ahmat Kadyrovs early life [4065] The well known Chechen journalist, Oleg Djurgayev has in Kislovodsk published a book released in 2 thousand copies and titled Instant and Eternity devoted to the early life of the first Chechen president Ahmat Kadyrov, detailing events of 30 years ago. Mr. Djurgayev says that it is a sort of Anthem and elegy dedicated to young Kadyrov who in those years was a student at the Mir-Arab Buharsky Islamic school. The idea of writing the book belong to current president of Chechnya, Alu Alhanov who asked Mr. Djurgayev to write it. According to Djurgayev it was a difficult task for Ahmat Kadyrov was engrossed in student life, was a knowledge seeking and inquisitive Youngman. Earlier unknown sides of Kadyrov can be found in the book. For example, it happened that in 1977, two years before being admitted to the Mir-Arab Islamic school, he secretly moved into the ancient mausoleum of Hastim in Tashkent. He lived there for two years, praying and delving into the secrets of Islam. This side of Kadyrov was narrated to Mr. Djurgayev by the chief Imam of the mosque Tilottoin Hattyb. Ahmat was often allowed to spend the night in the mosque. Several other not well known facts about the life of Kadyrov are contained in the book For example, chief of the unified library of the supreme muftiat has told Djurgayev that once in a week Kadyrov went into the most modest room in the library where the one thousand-year old Quran was kept. There are only 7 of such Qurans in the world. The book Instant and Eternity has been launched in Grozny and it attracted a huge interest among the public. Theres a high demand for it. Weapons and two kilograms of mercury were confiscated from the militants. "One of the militants is believed to have been killed in the armed clash," battalion commander Said-Magomed Kakiyev told Interfax. "It has been established that the group included at least three people," he said. A Shmel flame-thrower, three anti-tank grenade launchers, a Kalashnikov assault rifle and grenades were confiscated from the scene, he said. None of the servicemen were injured in the clash. Human Rights Commissioner Louise Arbour will visit Chechnya and meet with President Vladimir Putin on a week-long visit to Russia. She is expected to bring up alleged human rights abuses during her talks with Putin, the BBC reported. During her first visit to Russia last year, Arbour secured the Russian government's agreement to set up a regional U.N. human rights office in Moscow. Arbour will also spend time in Ingushetia, visiting camps for people displaced by the conflict. "This decision was made because the H5N1 bird flu strain had been discovered in dead fowl on Daghestan's territory during a test in Moscow's central veterinary laboratory," Magomed Musayev said. Musayev said quarantine check points had been set up on the border with Daghestan to screen poultry meat and live fowl and administration heads had been instructed to open vet examination labs in marketplaces. [http://www.chechnyafree.ru/index.php?lng=eng] (more) A New Business Center to Be Built in Grozny An educational business center is under construction in the heart of the Chechen capital. 70 percent of all funding for the construction is to come from the federal government and 30 percent is to be supplemented from the budget of the Chechen government. The business center construction is to be completed within a year. Ground work has already been laid at the site of the center. The general contractor involved in the construction, in keeping with the federal reconstruction program, previously built the head office of the business center and also participated in the construction of other buildings in the Chechen Republic. The new business center will provide premises for seminars and training sessions for young Chechen businessmen. Each of them will have 1-3-year contracts for studies. Modern office equipment will be used for their training. Two million roubles have already been allocated for the purchase. Moreover, each businessman completing his or her studies will be eligible for a start-up credit for setting up their own businesses. The business center will accept for studies the best entrepreneurs, who are to present their best business plans, which will be reviewed on a competitive basis.
