David Merkel, the deputy US Secretary of State on European and Eurasian issues appointed in March, told ERB that America was not going to reduce the staff of its Embassy to our country and was still waiting for the Belarusian authorities to release Alyaksandr Kazulin. According to the politician, nothing can promote the isolation of Belarus more than the political persecution in the country.

The Maskouski district court of Minsk fined Vyachaslau Hancharenka, pastor of New Love Church, of 1,400,000 Belarusian rubles for he was demanding freedom of conscience for the Belarusians.

Alyaksandr Milinkevich, head of the organising committee of the "For Freedom" movement, was set free in the evening of 24 April. He spent 2 hours and 40 minutes in the Maskouski district militia department. The politician was detained at the beginning of his meeting with dwellers of the Minsk city district Malinauka.
