FORTH WAVE OF ENTREPRENEURS PROTEST

Entrepreneurs protest action, which was to be held in Minsk on 18 February, was cracked down by riot militia. The people were forced out of square several times, as people come to the action, they were pushed out in the direction of Internatsyanalnaya and Bahdanovich Street. Total about 1 000 people participated in the action. Political prisoner Alyaksandr Kazulins daughter Volha, leader of the movement For Freedom! Alyaksandr Milinkevich, entrepreneurs leader Alyaksandr Makaeu and democratic activist Vyachaslau
Siuchyk were detained.

MILINKEVICH SET FREE AFTER INTERROGATION

Leader of the movement For Freedom! Alyaksandr Milinkevich was set free after he had been interrogated as a witness on a criminal case initiated after the entrepreneurs protest action on 10 January in Minsk, and on the case of political prisoner Andrei Kim.

VOLHA KAZULINA SET FREE

Volha Kazulina and two other people detained with her and guarded to the Tzentralny internal affairs department (Natallya Harachka and Uladzimir Nepomnyashchykh) were set free. As Volha said, no report was drawn up against her.

The daughter of political prisoner, former presidential candidate Alyaksandr Kazulin came to Kastrychnitskaya Square with a streamer Freedom to Kazulin! and Freedom to Individual Entrepreneurs!, however, she was forced out with a group of people including journalists towards Internacyjanalnaya where she was detained.

CRACKDOWN OF ENTREPRENEURS ACTION IN MINSK (ONLINE REPORT, VIDEO)

A protest action of entrepreneurs was cracked down brutally on October Square in Minsk. Though riot militia forced people out of the square several times, about 1000 people gathered there. They are split in some groups, but are have no intentions of going away. The participants of the action took to streets against discriminative decrees of Alyaksandr Lukashenka.

It would be a dishonourable flight from the country, the open letter of the wife of the former candidate for presidency Alyaksandr Kazulin, Iryna Kazulina, published at the web site of the politician.

It becomes a tradition to finish Day of Solidarity with festive fireworks in honour of imprisoned freedom fighters. On February 16 at 11 p.m. activists of the civil campaign Jeans for Freedom organized a firework near the pre-trial detention center in Valadarski Street in Minsk. One of political prisoners, Andrei Kim, is kept there at the moment.
