ENTREPRENEURS TO TAKE TO STREETS ON JANUARY 21 AT NOON

On January 21 at noon small businessmen are to gather of October Square. This
time they plan to protest not only against the discriminatory decree No. 760,
but as a response to unjustifiably cruel reaction of the regime to the protest
rally on January 10. It has been told to the Charter97 press-center by the leader
of the campaign For Free Development of Enterprise Viktar Harbachou.

BELARUS ONE OF MOSTLY UNFREE COUNTRIES IN WORLD

According to research of The Heritage Foundation and The Wall Street Journal,
Belarus has one of the lowest levels of economic freedom in the world. Belarus
occupies 150 position from 157, and stands in the  line with such countries as
Iran, Turkmenistan, Burma, Libya, Zimbabwe, Cuba and North Korea.

PEOPLE ON HUNGER STRIKE FROM TB HOSPITAL WILL BE FED BY FORCE?

About 150 patients of the Republican Tuberculosis Hospital Navaelnya (the Dzyatlava
district, the Grodna Area) didnt come to breakfast yesterday. They demand improving
of treatment conditions.  Chief doctor Mechyslau Dougan regards these demands
as groundless.
