In particular, the resource informed that the changes in the autumn of last year threatens to turn into full reformation of the company. FIrst of all, it is connected with the forthcoming entry of the new and still only competitor, the company K-Telecom into the market of cellular communication of Armenia. But the Greek OTE, which owns 90% of the shares of the company ArmenTel, does not intend to come to nothing more than solving the local problem - provide effective competition in the sphere of cellular service. The interlocutor explained the chronical deficit in the market of cellular service with that originally the marketing of Easy-card was based only on the purchase capability of the population, and the mentality, particularly of the market, as well as the improvement of the social-economic situation were not take into account. Now the company is considering the possibility of increase of the types of cards for cellular service and creation of a relevant structure for development of products, services and tariff policy, the resource said. At the same time, recently ArmenTel has already initiated new wave of expansion of services for Easy-card. In particular, since Feb 16 it introduced such services as waiting regimes and call fixation, trilateral connection and re-direction of incoming calls, as well as since Feb 21 ArmenTel "threw" into the market a new lot of packages of Easy-card. To note, the company's acting General Executive Director Georgius Vasilakis resigned from his post on June 30, 2004 and Vasilius Fetsis was appointed the General Executive Director.
