NKR COMMEMORATES 16TH ANNIVERSARY OF ARMENIANS' MASSACRE IN AZERBAIJANI TOWN OF SUMGAIT STEPANAKERT, FEBRUARY 28. ARMINFO. On February 28 the Nagorny Karabakh Republic marked the 16th anniversary of Armenians' massacre in the Azerbaijani town of Sumgait. According to ARMINFO's correspondent to Stepanakert, public representatives visited Stepanakert Memorial Complex to pay homage to the victims. The country's top leadership, headed by President Arkady Ghoukassyan also laid wreaths on the memorial. Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church served a public prayer for the peace of the victims' souls. ARMENIAN OPPOSITION RESOLVED TO FORCE PRESIDENT INTO RESIGNATION YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 28. ARMINFO. Unless Robert Kocharyan resigns voluntarily we'll make him do that, the leader of the Hanrapetouyun party (Republic) Albert Bazeyan during the party's rally today. The opposition has many friends in the force structures who will never shoot at their people. Let Kocharyan and his clique not blackmail the opposition with the Karabakh problem. An illegitimate president has no right to settle this issue. Bazeyan says that today's rally was a preparatory step for a national revolution. Kocharyan's days are numbered. If he resigns the opposition will let him out of the country. Several thousand people attended the rally. Simultaneously the Justice bloc rallied in Artashat. YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 28. ARMINFO. An All Armenian International Trade and Industrial Exhibition "Armenia and World 2004" will be held at Moscow Exhibition Complex "Expocenter" on May 11-14. Talking to ARMINFO, Armenia-Expo reported that big Armenian producers will participate in the exhibition: the Armenian-Canadian JV "Grand Tobacco," CJSC "Bzhni," Diamond Company Armenia "DCA," "Jermuk Group," "Hay Karpet," "Armenia Travel + M," "Resort House of the Union of Writers," "Hay Busak" Institute, "SIS" company. "Mik realty," "BURG" company and others will represent Moscow. The exhibition pursues a goal to demonstrate the possibilities of Armenian producers, which will allow the country to attract new investors, expand exports, create new jobs and reduce unemployment level. An international scientific and practical conference will be held within the framework of the exhibition. In his message to the organizers of the exhibition in Moscow, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Armenia Anatoly Dryukov said hat the given event is organized on a solid basis, with attraction of a broad circle of participants.
