Arminfo news agency inform ROBERT KOCHARYAN: YEREVAN AND BAKU SPEAK ABOUT WAR IN NAGORNY KARABAKH IN DIFFERENT PLANES SEPTEMBER 29. Armenia and Azerbaijan speak about war in Nagorny Karabakh in different planes. Today Armenia's President Robert Kocharyan stated during the meet with Russian journalists. "We assert that who begins the war will lose it. We don't speak about military solution of the Karabakh conflict", the President mentioned. According to Robert Kocharyan, in the present phase of the Karabakh settlement it is important to solve two problems. It is, first of all, the readiness of the Azeri society to make compromises, possible in the result of settlement of the problem, as well as the readiness of political leaders of two countries to undertake responsibility and "run political risks", fulfilling these solutions. According to the President, the last proposal of the OSCE Minsk Group on Nagorny Karabakh really envisaged a mutual compromise, and Armenia accepted it. This is already the second package of settlement of the Karabakh conflict, proposed by the international mediators, which Armenia accepted and Azerbaijan refused, Robert Kocharyan stated. ARMENIA'S PRESIDENT DOES NOT SEE MUTUAL INTEREST IN ARMENIA'S JOINING THE UNION RUSSIA-BYELORUS SEPTEMBER 29. Armenia's President Robert Kocharyan doesn't see mutual interest in Armenia's joining the union Russia-Byelorus. The President Robert Kocharyan today informed during the meeting with journalists. According to Robert Kocharyan, the absence of common borders between Armenia and other states of the union are not the least of the factors. Presently Armenia's entry the union will only create unnecessary problems in the relations with Russia and Byelorus, which are not there today, the President thinks. He also mentioned that the political forces of Armenia denies the possibility of the republic's joining the union, seeing in it threat to independent state system of the country. Again stressing that the issue of Armenia's joining the union is not on the foreign political agenda of Yerevan, the President said that he welcomes the creation of this union. In exchange for it, the bilateral relations are being dynamically developed, Kocharyan mentioned. COLLECTED SCENARIOS BY SERGEY PARAJANOV PUBLISHED FOR THE FIRST TIME SEPTEMBER 29. A collection of scenarios by famous film director of the Armenian origin Sergey Parajanov has been published recently by art critic Kora Tsereteli. The collection embraced the screen scripts of the renowned films by Parajanov, "Sayat-Nova" and "Confession" as well as scenarios which have been published for the first time like "Martyrdom of Shushanik," "Ara the Handsome," "Miracle in Odense," which never became movies for various reasons, for example because of Parajanov's imprisonment by the Soviet era authorities. During a meeting with journalists recently Tsereteli has said it was a hard job to collect materials concerning Parajanov as the maestro had the habit to give his friends not only his collages but also whole pages from his original scripts. So many of them are in private hands. One of such private owners, Parajanov's friend Inna Gens has said recently she is going to inherit all the maestro's works kept in her family to the Parajanov House-Museum in Yerevan. She said it was great pleasure to her to be Parajanov's friend. Besides several miraculous works by Parajanov, she also has many recollections, such as one when the maestro broke into her and her husband's house in the night to perform "La Traviatta" for them the way it might be performed at a provincial Armenian theatre. The collection also includes Parajanov's letters from the prison. CATHOLICOS OF ALL ARMENIANS AND POPE MAKE JOINT STATEMENT SEPTEMBER 29.
