The Information Channel Felist.Com -*-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unity Way July 23, 2006 ------------------------------------------------------ Happiness by Andrei Yashurin Thinking of the law of cause and effect, I came to an interesting observation: Things never causes us to be happy. Rather, our happiness causes us to enjoy things. "What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us", said Ralph Emerson. The physical world which craves for our attention and promises to give us the fulfillment we desire, is the world of effects, not causes. True causes lie in spiritual and mental realms. This is where our creative powers reside. As we learn to release these powers in the process of soul unfoldment, we find true happiness. Our inner happiness then becomes the mighty attractive power which draws to us happy experiences. But those who seek happiness through things often find out that the things they've acquired cannot satisfy their hunger. Why happiness is important? I am convinced that we humans are made to be self-adjusted beings. When we abuse or mistreat our bodies, we experience physical pain which provides us the necessary feedback. If we are wise enough, we will learn its lessons and will do our best to change our behavior. The same is true for our soul. Unhappiness and discontent reveal to us that something is wrong at the deep level. We either misuse and abuse our creative powers, or live in ignorance about who we are and what is our real purpose in life. There is nothing noble about sufferings. The law of the Universe is harmony and wholeness, not sufferings and pain. It is a worthwhile endeavour to search for happiness - but we need to be aware that happiness is the by-product of the right life, life in harmony with God's laws. If you have unhappy feelings, don't try to suppress them. If we force such feelings out from our consciousness, chances are they will continue to dwell in our unconscious realm. In time, they could outwardly manifest themselves as a sickness, a loss, or an accident. A seed of unhappiness brings forth visible fruit after its kind. This is why unhappiness calls for spiritual resolution. It is wise to look for lasting solutions rather than quick fixes. Most of us don't want to be happy now and disappointed tomorrow. So, we find answers as we look within ourselves, to our Divine Spark, and establish a living connection with it. It is the source of knowledge and guidance which directs us to the best path. It is the source of power to accomplish our tasks successfully and with ease. It is the source of peace among every turmoil in the outside world. It is the source of joy in the midst of challenges. It is the source of love which surpasses emotional hurts and traumas. What is happiness? Many things can be said about it, but we can be sure it is not a matter of random chance for lucky ones. Every person in the world deserves to be happy. Every person can find his or her happiness in moving forward with the creative flow of life. ------------------------------------------------------ To be unsubscribed, click the link at the bottom of this message, do not write to the author. ------------------------------------------------------ http://unityway.net ~ Unity Way http://www.livejournal.com/users/unityman ~ Talks on Truth Blog Andrei Yashurin: yashurin@gmail.com If you like our list, please recommend it to others.
