The Law of Sowing and Reaping
by Andrei Yashurin

"Give, and it shall be given to you". These words express the law which is known by different names: the Law of Compensation, the Law of Cause and Effect, the Law of Sowing and Reaping, and so forth.

When Jesus told the parable about the sower and the seed, and the disciples asked him to explain its meaning, he was amazed: "Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables?" To him, it was the fundamental description of how the world works. And it is sad to notice that almost 2,000 years since his time, many people are still trying to avoid this vital understanding.

There is cause for every effect. The universe is governed by infallible laws, not by chaos or random chance. So often we don't recognise causes of particular effects, but it doesn't mean that they aren't there. When it comes to occurences in our life, we could forget their causes - or intentionally drive them out of our conscious memory. We also could be too ignorant to see their connection.

It is easy to recognize those who don't accept the law of sowing and reaping by their vocabulary. They are talking about "injustice" toward them or the others.

What is their point? Do they mean that there is no Divine Order in the world, and there is no Universal Intelligence behind everything which happens? Or do they mean that there is some evil force which prevents the successful accomplishment of God's plans? Or perhaps they just feel pain of a particular situation and do not know where it came from, and why?

It is a legitimate desire to be delivered from pain and sufferings. However, it won't be fulfilled if we refrain from taking personal responsibility for our pain and admitting that we attracted it into our life for some reason. Belief in "injustice" won't lead us to greater awareness and greater freedom.

When we accept a belief in "injustice", we are psychologically damaged. Our focus is shifted from the inner realm - the only place where solutions could be found - to "out there".

We blame people or circumstances "out there". We are looking for answers "out there". The more we persist in such an attitude, the deeper our ignorance becomes.

It could be frightening for some people to realize that nothing in the outer world will ever rescue them. It is useless to put our trust in political or economical changes, in religions or doctrines. The saving power lies within; and it is God's power waiting to be unleashed and to work wonders in our life.

Even if we suffer, we are not doomed to suffer. There is nothing deterministic about the Law of Sowing and Reaping. Although we planted seeds of negativity in the past, reaping a harvest of pain, now it is time to take our destiny into our hands. By planting seeds of faith, hope, love, and courageous self-expression, we will dramatically change the course of events.

The Law of Sowing of Reaping is the powerful tool for building and re-building of our life.

Change your consciousness, change your expression, and everything will be changed. Stay connected with the Source of your being. Fill your mind with positive ideas. Create, and stretch yourself toward your highest vision. "As you radiate, you attract". Take good care of things within your sphere of influence. Take care of "radiation", and "attraction" will take care of itself.
