The Information Channel Felist.Com -*-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unity Way April 23, 2006 ------------------------------------------------------ The Law of Unfoldment by Andrei Yashurin Our divine destiny is to grow and to unfold, to bring into the manifestation all the powers implanted into our being. Our hidden potential longs for its expression. The world will be blessed as the result of our expression, and we ourselves will become happy and fulfilled. So often we begin our spiritual search when a serious problem comes into our life, and all the means of its solution prove to be inadequate. We intuitively feel that there should be something greater than we currently know, something which can be our answer - and after a searching period we discover the solution. We usually refer to this experience as coming to know God, even though it cannot always be described in religious terms. But there is a temptation to view the realm of the Spirit as the last resort, the place where we "enter" when things go wrong, while the rest of the time we live just as usual. Such an attitude indicates that we are only partly awake. The power of the Spirit is not the one which comes and goes - it is present with us all the time, although we use only in a small measure. This power is the creative flow in which we live and move and have our being. We need to realize that the real problem is not a particular painful occurence, but the fact that we don't move along with that flow and don't unfold ourselves. Problems are merely challenges which makes us think and take us out of our usual routine. They force us to look for greater power than we usually are aware of. But we don't have to wait until they come to begin our search. Some people say, "Through spiritual growth you'll be prepared to meet troubles which may lie ahead". Although it is true, I don't agree with a habit of motivating ourselves through fear. Don't think fear, think Life! The universe is good, and we need to look into the future with anticipation of good things. View your growth as the pathway to greater good, then your focus be a constructive one. Why do I want to unfold? Because I want to treat myself well. Because I want to be true to myself, which implies being true to the Spirit of God within me. This Spirit constantly urges me to greater awareness and greater expressions. Looking at other people around us we may find unique individuals who attained seemingly impossible goals. They could rise above their negative circumstances because they believed that their inner power is mightier that all the outward things. Their examples should always inspire us to think in large terms and to realize that our life conditions don't limit our potential. Circumstances are but raw materials which we may freely use in building of our life. Negative life conditions could be result of our previous ignorant thoughts, worlds, and actions, and by analyzing them we could know what to improve. Yet they cannot be a measure of our value and our potential. We are always greater than our mistakes. Even more, we are always greater than our best triumphs! The starting point of our unfoldment is meditation. Out of your heart flow the issues of life, and we get in touch with them only when outer voices and the voice of our conscious mind are silenced.
