The Information Channel Felist.Com -*-------------------------------------------------------------------------- UNITY WAY January 25, 2004 ------------------------------------------------------ Love and Prosperity Part II by Andrei Yashurin How can divine love help us in achieving greater prosperity for ourselves and our loved ones? There are several valuable ideas which are worthy to be remembered and applied. First, settle it in your mind that you are worthy to be blessed with abundance. Some people may have a sense of guilt and shame when they are prosperous, and others are not. "How can I have more than so-and-so, - they emphatically ask, - if that person is more talented or morally better than me?" It could be a long discussion why some of so-called "good" people are not successful. But there are no reasons why someone's misery should stop us from looking for personal happiness. If we will continue to exist at the low level, how can we help others and inspire others to reach higher? If we don't allow God to prosper us, what right do we have to tell others that God will help them in their sufferings? Second, radiate love that you might attract love. Business world operates according to laws of exchange. We buy and sell, exchanging money for products and services. But in all of our business transactions, there is one immensely valuable ingredient which should be added, no matter we buy or sell. That is love. Love costs nothing, but ultimately it makes all the difference. Love products or services that you offer at the market. If you sincerely love what you sell, you will have greater chances to be a successful salesperson, because people you deal with will become aware of your attitude, whether consciously or unconsciously. They will be affected by invisible aura of your thoughts and feelings. "For there is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed", says the Bible. Love and enthusiasm are contagious. If you love your products and services, others will like them, too. They will believe in them, together with you. But on the other hand, if you are not enthusiastic about things you're giving to the world, how can you expect others to be enthusiastic about them, and to pay for them good price? This is illogical. If you love your products or services, you will constantly work on improving their quality, so that you could appreciate them more - and to be proud of them. Your motivation will be to give the best, and you will attract the best from others. Thoughts about getting unfair advantage won't even cross your mind. Love products or services that you buy, whether for your business or for personal use. If you do not love them, chances are, they will not serve you well. Many people are saving cents, but loosing dollars by getting things they don't like, but "need". Don't be among them. Love your work. I know no other person who described connection between love and work better than Kahlil Gibran: "Work is empty save when there is love; And when you work with love, you bind yourself to yourself, and to one another, and to God. ... Work is love made visible. And if you cannot work with love but only with distaste, it is better that you should leave your work and sit at the gate of the temple and take alms of those who work with joy". Love all people you work with - your employers, your employees, your co-workers, your customers - all who come close to you in any way. In your mind, bless them with a thought: "This person is brought to me by God, for a very special purpose. I am a channel of divine good for him/her, and he/she is a channel of divine good for me. I will stay attuned to God's guidance, so that this blessing could be manifested". Love even your competitors! No matter what is their attitude toward you, they should be among your best friends. In truth, they help you to work smarter and to become better in your work. Where there is no competition, mediocrity reigns, and there is no place for excellence.
