The Information Channel Felist.Com -*-------------------------------------------------------------------------- UNITY WAY April 27, 2003 ------------------------------------------------------ Search for the Truth By Andrei Yashurin One of the most important things we need to know is that seeking nature is built into us. It is natural for us to seek, to ask questions, to explore, to wonder. There is a sense of divine restlessness, divine discontent which arises from our heart of hearts - from Christ within. God's voice calls us above and beyond our current level of understanding and experience, deeper into unexplored depths of great Reality. "Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught" (Luke 5:4, Webster). Why don't we always recognize this call? Blessed are those, who hunger and thirst, for they shall be filled - and filled again. Blessed are those, who seek, for they shall find - and find again. Each discovery will lead them to new, even greater discoveries. As we seek, it is important to remember that answers has already been prepared for us. The same great Wisdom that brought us into being, formed and shaped our world - which means, we and the world are not strange to each other. As we seek, it is good to have in mind that we may discover something different from what we expected to find, and yet it will be of greater value for ourselves, and for others. We read that Columbus searched for India, but discovered a new continent - America. Alchemists of the past searched for a philosopher's stone, seemingly in vain, but in a process they developed a new science, which blessed the whole world. We need to beware not to put such labels as "doubters" and "unbelievers" on true seekers. Yes, seeking implies a certain level of doubt - but how people can expect to distinguish between true and false ideas, between reality and vain illusions, if they do not put their ideas to the test? Any questions are dangerous for deception and self-deception. Any competition is dangerous for products and services of poor quality. Truth stands for itself and defends itself, therefore, it is not afraid of honest tests and sincere questions. Seekers are considered to be dangerous dissidents and rebels only by those who secretly don't believe in things they stand for. In our search, we are not to be limited by intellectual understanding of reality, or God, the Higher Reality. Life is immensely greater than rational thinking. As we search, we search for meaning - and we find it. We come to the realization that our individual lives are unique expressions of divine qualities and divine potential. Without us, the world is incomplete. This thought alone gives us strength and courage to grow into our full stature. As we search, we search for love - and we find it. We discover that love is the substance the world is made of. We comprehend that love is the bond of unity, the bond of perfection, and every time we try to live apart from love, we shut ourselves from the great whole. Love does not need our justifications and rationalizations. God is love, and as much as we consciously abide in love, we abide in God. As we search, we search for beauty - and we find it. It becomes clear to us that beauty is not a luxury - it as a necessity. Beauty and harmony are divine. The sense of beauty draws us closer to the comprehension of God's active, dynamic presence in our life. As we search, we search for the Kingdom of God. No matter where we start our search (even, at first, we are interested just in fulfilling of our basic needs), we will eventually come to the place of realization that the world is orderly and structured. When we align ourselves with its fundamental laws, we prosper and increase. All things are added to us in manifestation, because of our growing awareness. We become co-workers with God in bringing forth of divine treasures into the world. ------------------------------------------------------ Andrei Yashurin: admin@unityway.net http://unityway.net/zine Positive Christianity E-zine If you like our list, please recommend it to others.
