The end of all inner struggles is wholeness, unity of our
conscious thoughts under the direction of Christ inside us.
Christ works within us as the Unifyer, the One who "breaks
down the middle wall of partition" and brings harmony to
our mental "household".
When we are whole inside, wonderful things happen. Our inner
agreement releases the mighty power of God into all areas of
our lives. The presence of Christ in us becomes evident as
never before. This is the meaning of Jesus' words in Matthew
18:20: "For where two or three are gathered together in My
name, there I am in their midst".
The Gospel of Thomas includes the following saying of Jesus,
which makes the statement above even more clear: "If one is
whole, one will be filled with light. But if one is divided,
one will be filled with darkness".
When we are whole, we partake from the Tree of Life rather
than the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. In other words,
we stay away from dualistic outlook, which is deadly. Not
trying to judge things and experiences as good and bad, we
adjust our perception to behold imprisoned splendor of God
in all the creation. We look at things with the single eye.
As a result, we partake blessings from all things we see or
encounter. We become enriched and energized beyond all measures.
We know that there is only one Source of all things, and
nothing can exist apart from this divine Source. We know that
there is only one Presence and one Power active in the universe
and in our life - God.
When we are whole, we are at peace with ourselves, with
the world, and with God. This is true wisdom, the one that
will guide us in its perfect and peaceful ways amidst every
possible challenge.
No matter who you are and what are your outer circumstances,
I encourage you to strive for wholeness. Let it be a starting
point in every your endeavor. Wholeness is a power of growth.
It brings increase to all good things in our life.
As we begin our search for wholeness, we need to realize that
nothing from the outside can make us whole. Neither our spouse
(no matter how good he/she can be), nor our church (no matter
how positive it can be), nor our particular occupation will ever
give us wholeness. God works through people - yes, but only to
a certain degree. The best thing what others can do for us is
to awaken us to the truth within ourselves. Let us never allow
persons or institutions lead us astray by focusing our attention
on outer things. .
Will God make us whole? Yes and no. It is true that God is
the Source of wholeness. It is true that God's will for every
person is wholeness. And yet, the world is still full of
broken, divided, sick, and troubled people. Seeing their condition,
we cannot put the blame on God, or supposed "original sin".
Yes, it is our destiny to be whole - but the degree of our
realization of wholeness depends on our definite mental
actions. We are creators of our total world, which includes
the world of ideas and the world of manifestations.
Let us not fool ourselves by pretending to be less than creators.
Let us transform ourselves by renewing our minds: from
brokenness to wholeness, from mental conflicts to unity
of consciousness, from struggles within to acceptance of
our total self.
Let us accept the responsibility for our lives with joy
and gladness, being confident of who we are, and who God
in us is.
Let us accept wholeness, freely given to us by our Father,
by deliberately cleansing ourselves from all ideas of division.
