Success is achieved through inner work. "As within, so without",
says an ancient wisdom. Our life is an outward projection
of our inner thoughts, feelings, expectations, visions,
and dreams. All that we have, we have by the right of
consciousness. We will never live above our ideas of who
and what we really are. If something is alive within us,
sooner or later it will be ours, and we will never lose it.
"I pray for you to prosper and to be in health, as your
soul prospers" (3 John 2, Literal Translation), wrote
an apostle. Each one of us demonstrates prosperity and
wholeness to the degree in which ideas of prosperity and
wholeness are rooted in our soul. Sick mentality manifests
itself as sickness. Poverty mentality manifests itself
as poverty. Wholeness mentality will eventually manifest
itself as well body. Prosperity mentality will eventually
manifest itself as abundance of all good things.
Unfortunately, most people rely on their actions rather
on their awareness. But the way to greater success lies
not in working harder, but in working smarter. This is clear
enough to all who have eyes to see. Many of us know diligent
and even talented persons that remain failures, no matter
how much they toil. The natural question is, what's wrong
with them? How can we explain their condition? Does it mean
that life is unfair to them? Does it mean that God is unfair?
Does it mean that such thing as "bad luck" really exists? No.
The answer lies in the realization that our work can be
successful only when it is done in the right consciousness.
"He that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag
with holes" (Haggai 1:6, KJV), says the Bible of certain
people. Each time they put money in their wallet or to their
account, it disappears. Why? They don't have a consciousness
of permanent prosperity.
How can we develop prosperity consciousness? There are at least
three simple helpful practices, which can be used by any man
or woman, of any background, in any circumstances. Countless
numbers of people testify of their effectiveness. They are
denials, affirmations, and visualizations.
Charles Fillmore wrote that denial is "the mental process
of erasing from consciousness the false beliefs of the
sense mind". Denial implies letting go of ideas which
are not established in God's Truth, so that new and better
ideas could take their place. If we don't practice denial
while feeding ourselves with ideas of prosperity, we become
double-minded, and therefore produce mixed results.
Deny negative appearances. Deny their reality, their permanence,
and their power over you.
Deny ideas of powerlessness and irresponsibility that may
come into your mind. Deny poverty mentality in all of its
shapes and forms.
Deny ideas of guilt and fear. Deny your dependence on others
in matters of guidance, provision, and self-expression.
And then, affirm the opposite.
"Affirmation is a positive statement of Truth. By the use
of affirmations we claim and appropriate that which is ours
in Truth", stated Charles Fillmore.
As we affirm the Truth, we don't have to know all the details
on how the things should work on our behalf. We can leave it
up to God. What we need is to say "YES" to divine power
and divine love, and to let them be manifested in our life
as success and prosperity.
"Prosperity is letting the love of God flow through you
without restriction. Wealth is an experience of the goodness
of God", wrote Brad Jensen. We should not think that prosperity
and success are less than spiritual.
Then, we need to visualize our desired conditions, not
allowing our imagination to run wild. Let our inner eyes
be fixed on our goals, and soon we will notice that they
become more and more real to us - until there will come
a moment of their physical appearance.
