"...and your health shall spring out quickly" (Isaiah 58:8).
Growth of all things is a fundamental law of life.
Everything we know about came into an existence according
to the seed principle. Everything is alive. Everything grows
and changes.
When the disciples of Jesus failed to comprehend the parable
about the sower and the seed, He was disappointed. "Do you
not know this parable? And how then will you know all parables?"
(Mark 4:13). How could these people understand the mysteries
of God and our world if they are did not comprehend the most
basic thing?
I think that we can address this question to ourselves.
How do we perceive the world? Do we see it as a combination
of random events, chances, happenings, which have no meaning,
no purpose and no place in Gods order of things? Or, do we
comprehend the interconnectedness of all things and the
character of their relation? Do we realize the fact that
there is an upward trend in us and in the entire world,
which constantly tries to put us on the way of growth?
Not only all things grow all things are meant to contribute
to our growth. Healing is the most natural part of this process.
When we establish this thought firmly in our mind, we find the
golden key that unlocks doors to our blessings.
Many believers seem to have an idea that divine healing should
be instantaneous. And after they ask God for such a miracle and
nothing happens, they immediately begin to think that there
is something wrong with this teaching on healing through
faith. According to their understanding, God is sovereign,
and can do all that He wants to. And if God does not do
something, it looks like it is not His will at all,
at least for them.
And yet, there is another explanation of those unanswered
prayers. These people have wrong expectations. They are
looking for something God does not promise to them,
so there is no wonder that they are often left empty-handed.
What God promised to us? Many times and in many ways,
the Bible conveys to us the same Truth principle:
only determined, persistent, and unwavering faith is rewarded.
God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).
When we carefully examine healings that were performed
by Jesus, we discover that they came as answers to deep
and sincere faith of His patients. People who were healed
in those days were not specially chosen by God. They were
not favored above us. The same blessings that they received
from the Lord are available to each one of us in the XXI
century, as long as we are willing to do exactly as they did;
as long as we are willing to grow in faith.
As our faith grows, our healing grows and spring forth
into manifestation. Another parable of Jesus reveals that
the process of growth is often invisible to a human eye
(Mark 4:27). When the seed germinates and puts its small
root into the coil, nothing is evident on the surface.
Those who dont know much about agriculture may even say
that it is the "bad" seed, and it will never produce anything.
And yet, it grows and, in due time, will appear to as the
blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear.
When we pray for healing and affirm our wholeness in God,
let us not think that our prayers and affirmations,
or the prayers and affirmations of others are ineffective
just because we dont get what we want in an instant.
They are powerful. They set into motion invisible, and
yet mighty spiritual forces that will bring about our good,
if we will not change our mind and retreat to an unbelief.
Let us trust the process of growth. Let us give ourselves
time to grow. Let us give our healing time to grow.
Remember that faith is a mental vision. Have you ever
wondered what your faith is? Check your mental vision,
and it will become evident. So, when you pray for healing,
stick to a mental picture of wholeness. See that you are
free from all painful symptoms in your body. See yourself
as a strong, vigorous, and energetic person. See that you
are able to do physically all what you couldnt do before.
See all the details or your improved condition that you can
only imagine. Let this picture become alive in your mind and
capture your whole attention. This picture will work like a
seed, because it is a seed.
Every day and in every way, I become healthier and healthier. My healing grows and spring forth, because my faith grows. I consciously cooperate with divine law of wholeness and restoration in all members of my body and in all areas of my life. I let my healing grow.
