Shalom!
Tu B'Shvat - the 15th day of the Hebrew month of
Shvat, falls this year on February 7, 2004. This day
has been a day of festivity and celebration throughout
the years. The revealed nature of the joy of the day is
that on this day the strength of the land of Israel is
renewed and it begins to yield its produce. It is
specifically through the fruits of the land that Israel is
praised as the verse states: "A land of wheat and
barley, of vines, figs, and pomegranates, a land of
olives and honey" (Deuteronomy 8:8). Consequently, it
has become a widespread custom to celebrate the day
by partaking of the fruits of the land.
TES is happy to be able to offer you this opportunity
to share in the fruits and delicacies of the land of
Israel. This Fruit Gift Basket can be shared by the
family, or sent to loved ones and friends in the US,
Israel or anywhere in the world. We ask that you place
your order by Sunday February 1, so that your gift
basket may reach its destination by TU B'Shvat.
Sincerely,
Michael Goldstein
